Hardware & Software Recovery

Have you ever had a computer start to crash on you, and you just knew it was bad?

Or, do you currently need help recovering from a hardware or software crash?

If you answered “yes” to either or both of these questions, please read on.

Quite often the most challenging part of the “fix” process is determining whether it’s a hardware or software problem.  The task can take from minutes to hours before a resolution is made.  If you’ve done your own troubleshooting, you know what it’s like – frustrating and wears on your patience.

Let us help you with that process and get your computers back up and running!

Here’s what we can do for you during this process:

For hardware failures, we run diagnostics on all related hardware.  Problems are typically found in items such as power supplies, cooling fans, hard drives and memory.  If those items pass, then further testing will be conducted on the motherboard and processor (cpu).

For software failures, troubleshooting has far more variables to consider than troubleshooting hardware.  The three items below are the most common software issues that we find:

  • Windows operating system and all it’s related security updates and service packs
  • Software applications that won’t work properly
  • Viruses to search out – let’s stop there!  Viruses are such a huge problem in today’s computer world that it’s a must to invest in the proper protection for your computers.

your dream car

Jim’s Analogy: You wouldn’t buy a Rolls Royce and just get liability insurance from your neighbor’s cousin.  You would make sure that the “full coverage” insurance you get would be appropriate for the car’s value.  Don’t under-protect your computer network by not utilizing an effective virus protection service.

And our software troubleshooting often doesn’t stop here.

For hardware and software recovery, the process is best left to the experts with the experience and necessary tools – it’s definitely about the tools (sledgehammers are optional :) ).
